"It is 35 percent higher than the amount in the outgoing financial year's development program."
He said 34 billion rupees additional amount would also be generated by various public sector departments thus increasing the total development program up to 306 billion rupees.
He said that over 37 billion rupees have been allocated for the energy sector including development program of allied corporation to increase power generation.
Omer Ayub informed 9.1 billion rupees have been secured for the enhancement of agricultural, food and livestock projects.
The minister also explained that special stress would be given on boosting the flow of foreign direct investment (FDI) to accelerate industrial growth in the country.
"New economic and industrial zones will be established to uphold the industrial production," the official added.
