PM Aziz assures support for textile industry's progress

In the new textile policy, Government aims to reduce cost of production and remove factors hampering growth of the industry, assured Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz.
He informed that country's textile industry is not as competitive as in rival countries due to high production costs.
He added that other countries provide gas, electricity and bank credit at low interest rates to promote their exports.
Local textile exporter will also be provided similar facilities to reduce cost of production and improve quality of products, assured Aziz.
