Due to the dispute between management and trade unions several industries across Nepal had remained closed since Thursday last, for an indefinite period but 50 of them from southern industrial town of Birgunj have begun their operations, Sunday.
Earlier, Birgunj Chambers of Commerce and Industries (BCCI) had in connivance with businessmen resolved to shut down industries to coerce the trade unions to come for talks over their demands of minimum wages, formation of a new labour act and issues of appointment letters.
Both sides agreed to find the solution through talks, by preparing common agendas to resolve the problems of the sector follow-on industrialists opening their industries.
