Textiles cos eye Santiago to buy US access

Taiwan's Textile Industrialists Federation are keen to build a textile plant in Santiago (north), in joint venture with the city's textile manufactures in order to gain advantage of accessing the United States market via the DR-CAFTA Trade Agreement.

Leonel Fernandez, President, Dominican Republic along with his official delegation arrived in Taiwan recently seeking a plan to aid the promotion of two sectors: manufacturing of fabrics and garments.
