Textile & clothing get attention in China's next 5-year plan

Recognizing the importance of textile and clothing industries in country's economic growth, Chinese Government aims to lay special emphasize on the two sectors in its next five-year plan.

The plan will include improvement in textile machinery and technological products, buying international brands, using optional fibre and reducing the use of energy sources.

Speeding up reform of state-owned textile enterprises will also be a vital part of the plan.

Government is also planning to create its own brands, promote innovation in technology and set up several huge textile parks in provinces.

This special attention is due to the fact that textile and clothing exports have grabbed over 24 percent of global trade.
