Textile industry of China spearheads the overall business of country in world and this is the reason why the industry has secured first position in development programme for next five years.
Under the program published by National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), industry output is likely to reach six trillion yuan (US $750 billion) by 2010.
Fibre processing volume would touch the level of 36 million tons by 2010 at the annual average of six percent.
The programme forecasts fibre output to grow by eight percent annually, rising from 16.29 million tons in 2005 to 24 million tons in 2010.
Cotton yarn output is likely to grow five percent on average to reach 18.5 million tons from 14.4 million tons last year.
In terms of sales, the industry would likely to have an annual average of 12.7 percent to hit six trillion yuan, while garment exports would hit $18 billion.
