Govt plans to change its textile quota policy

Textile and clothing industry of China has lost much of its sheen due to quota hurdles it began facing early this year.

Industry sources reveal that this has led to industry loses on textiles export orders that are diverted to India and other neighbouring countries.

According to the current textile quota policy, just 30 percent of quota can be purchased openly.

Another important reason is instability in price, which desists mid and small enterprisers from accepting orders.

Now, Government of China plans to change its textile policy following many opinions from experts and enterprisers.

This new textile quota policy emphasises circulation of entire quota in the market.
