Value added relief from VAT

Gujarat Government has decided not to impose Value Added Tax (VAT) on certain items, which include twisted yarn produced by stand alone units.
Moreover, in the case of polyester textile fabric, VAT has been reduced to 0.5 percent.
Other items like sari falls, fuel produced from the solid waste and sankheda furniture have been completely exempted from the VAT.
