Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) has prepared questionnaire and sent to the local jewelers to know their view whether to lift customs duty on gold products entering from GCC states, informed BCCI Chairman Dr Ahmed Jassim Al Tahoo.
Tahoo said that duty free market will help in strengthening trade, on the other hand there will be high competition in domestic market as all global players can access it.
Some of the traders have shown their disappointment on re-import of gold which are sent out.
