Key economic zones located in southern province including HCM City should be treated under a master plans to give the country an economic boost, according to a senior economist.
There is strong need of specific policies and promotional activities for these zones, informed Head of the HCM City's Export Processing Zones and Industrial Parks' Management Board, Vu Van Hoa.
Several factories do not have proper waste water systems which damages to environment.
Many industries such as garment, footwear and electronics focus only on manual operations which hamper technological development.
Vu Van Hoa also emphasizes development of proper infrastructure facilities to woo foreign investors and help domestic industries.
