India should be considered a hub of investment opportunities rather than a large market base, stated Commerce Minister Kamal Nath while addressing 7th Marketing Summit organized by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).
Government will also form laws for smooth operation of FDI in sensitive areas, Minister added.
Nath also informed that participation of foreign companies in tenders issued by public undertaking companies would also be directed.
Overwhelming response of manufacturing and service sectors has forced Government to decide to increase the number of Special Economic Zones (SEZ) from the current number of 150.
