Jute and Textile Minister Shajahan Siraj and Jatiyatabadi Patkall Sramik Dal have taken decision on August 21 to effect Wage Commission for employees and workers of Bangladesh Jute Mills Corporation (BJMC) by September 7 this year.
In the meeting, it has been decided to compensate workers with their outstanding wages and allowances, medical allowances, provident fund dues and gratuity.
Mismanagement and delay in decision making process have spoiled the jute mills, Shajahan stated.
He also ensured leader that all the demands would be fulfilled in phases.
