Government notifies Adityapur as 22nd SEZ

First Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in Jharkhand has been notified by the Government at Adityapur, first SEZ for automobile sector as well.
The Government has till now notified 22 zones which are from the lot of 150 that have been given go ahead by the Board of Approval (BoA).
From the 22 notified, 12 belong to IT/ITeS and electronics hardware sectors while others include sectors like bio-tech, footwear, gems and jewellery.
The largest zone notified till date is in Gujarat named Adani Ports which is having the area of 2406.75 hectare.
