Sales Promotion Regulation for Retailers

In order to manage sales promotion activity of retail units, prevent price fraud and maintain fair competition, the Commerce Department, Development and Reform Commission, Ministry of Public Security, Industrial and Commercial General Office have jointly issued the 'Sales Promotion Regulation for Retailers', which will be implemented from October 15, 2006.

This policy is in 26 parts and mainly refers to safety management, sales promotions, merchandise price and quality.

This scheme also focuses on the rules in prize-winning shopping, flash shopping, limited amount shopping, premium cards, other special sales promotion and the responsibility of some departments in charge of commerce, price, police and tax.
