Thirst for development unites Scottish textile companies

Scottish Enterprise's textiles team has taken a new initiative and launched a textile lab which will help more textile companies to come together and develop fibres, fabrics and production methods which keeps them in check with global competition.
Only those companies are selected which has biggest market potential for the development of the projects. Scottish Enterprise's textiles team will also be running Innovation Workshop which will be open for all companies in Scotland.
Last year a pilot programme carried out between Hawick Cashmere and Simply Cashmere, who is a Japanese designer and previously won the Scottish Cashmere Club design competition in 2004.
