A panel of experts from state government will be shortly visiting Orissa Textile Mills (OTM) to review the state of land and infrastructure there. Government had sought permission to send a panel to OTM ahead of sketching a draft revival plan, in a petition filed in the high court.
Anita Agnihotri, Textiles and Handloom Secretary, stated in this petition that thorough details regarding current status of machinery, land and structure is essential to prepare a comprehensive project report for mill's renovation. Hence a group of government officials must visit and check out the factory.
Government attorney Prasanna Padhi informed recently that high court's company judge has given permission for a panel to visit OTM for evaluating its state and making the report, as a part of Choudwar's future integrated textile park project.
