PM urges commercial sectors to build strong distribution base

Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung requested commercial sectors to build foundation of distribution chain and system strongly by participating economic sectors and other organizations.
He told that commercial sector should contribute more towards economic development as it had played important role in country's development for past few years. He wants to transform country from underdeveloped country to industrialized nation by 2020.
Due to increase in exports to US, EU and Japan, export turnover of textile and garment sector was $5.4 million at an increasing rate of 25.1 percent and export turnover of footwear reached $3.2 billion rising 19.3 percent.
Although garment and footwear exports are booming due to high quality of the products and brand promotion, profits are less because of imported raw material.
