SEDA joins hands to promote small scale enterprises

The South African Government had decided to establish the Small Enterprise Development Agency SEDA as one of the media to help minimise gap between the first and second economies.
Steps taken towards this, the small-scale co-operative enterprises and manufacturing sector including crafts, agro processing, and subcontracting for clothing and textile industries, would get support and promotion of from the SEDA.
The expansion in market opportunities for specific categories of small enterprises will align the work of SEDA with other Government programmes such as the Accelerated and Shared Growth Initiative for SA (Asgi-SA).
SEDA's governing legislation is required to have a presence in every province and pierce through local councils. It has established eight provincial offices, 27 branches and 87 enterprise information canters.
