Home textiles & dye manufacturing units to get R&D support

Ministry of Textiles has put into effect certain regulations, taking into consideration advice of stakeholders given at various meetings held with officials of State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) to smoothen execution of Research and Development (R&D) support facilities.
Ministry has decided to give three percent R&D support to home textiles and five percent to dyed/printed cloth manufacturing-cum-exporting units by taking help from self regulatory organizations of SBP.
A time period of 90 days has been allowed for submission of cases only, not resubmission.
SBP stated that only those cases would be considered for which basic description of items in bills/GDF correspond to that in Pakistan Customs Tariff Codes (PCTC) and if H S Code is applicable.
