Israeli team on a visit to explore FTA prospects

To achieve a target of bilateral trade worth $5 billion, Israel is considering Free Trade Agreement (FTA) with India, sources inform.

Israel also commissioned a study on various opportunities for signing an FTA with India. This will be the first FTA by Israel in Asian Region.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade and Industry Eliyahu Yishai is heading a trade delegation in India after formation of this Government along with over 50 Israeli entrepreneurs in his entourage, starting December 3, 2006.
