Present national standard for acrylic staple fibre, issued in 1996, mainly include wet-method craftwork.

It does not fully include dry-method acrylic leading to difficulty in instructing downstream users.

Due to these limitations, National Standard Management Committee decides to revise the national standards of 'acrylic staple fibre'.

The new national standards of 'acrylic staple fibre' will be finished in 2007.
