Women weavers urge Yarn Banks under the Government of Manipur to ensure availability of all the variety and colour of yarns and request for the intervention of Government to stop businessmen's monopoly in fixing price of the yarns.

According to them, frequent changes in price of yarn by businessmen cause lots of problems to them.

Marketing the products by weavers is not the problem for them but the effect on production is due to shortage of variety and colours of the yarns, sources said.

Problem is not only of shortage but also of availability of required variety and colours at yarn banks.

Women weavers who are actually working in the field have yet not received fund released by the Government of India.
