NCS destroys textile materials to protect local industry

Kano State Area Command of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) seized 16,000 bales of various textile materials.
About 7,500 bales were destroyed by security agencies on Sunday and remaining materials would be burnt at a later date.
These steps were taken on Government's instructions to burn the material.
There were transportation problems in bringing these materials from the areas where they were seized.
Such actions will be continued in future to protect local textile industry.
