With possible loss of major contract for yarn, workers of McCleery Technical is facing threat of lay off from the company.
Company currently employs 30 workers at its Balloo Mills, Ballybunden Road site.
Camira Fabrics Ltd
, accounts for almost half of the total output of the firm, plans to manufacture its own yarn and shift operations to Lithuania.
Company is taking necessary measures to avoid possible redundancies.
If the company closes down, it will be the end of the textile industry in that part of County Down.
