Even after significant economic growth for past three years, authorities are facing problems for developing Hai Duong into a key economic zone.

Due to large scale agricultural production, farmers are able to earn between US $3,100 to $12,400 per hectare.

Development of industry is mainly depended on products like footwear, textiles, garments etc.

At present, service sector has achieved average annual growth rate of 9.7 percent.

But these growths are not sufficient to develop Hai Duong into a key economic zone.

As economy is slowly shifting from agriculture to industry, much of the population is still depended on farming for their livelihood.

Competitiveness of domestic enterprises and administrative reforms are weak and access to new technology is limited.

Province has to tackle all these problems to emerge as a key economic zone of the country.
