Four-nation Textiles Meet in Japan

On January 25, 2007, a meeting on textile industry took place in Japan between China, Japan, EU and the US. It was an informal four-way conversation.

During this meeting, Chairman of China Textile Industry Association, Du Yuzhou addressed to dignitaries about future of domestic textile Industry, reasons behind rapid increase of industry, objectives of textile industry in next five years and policy of the foreign economic contracts in global free trade.

In the meeting, delegates from US mainly enlightened reason to curb domestic textile imports.

This informal four-way conversation is considered to be a good beginning for enhancement of textile trade.

This meeting will be held once in a year and next one is scheduled to start in March 2008 in Beijing city, China.
