On February 6, 2007, United States congressmen submitted a bill for revising the rules of origin for domestic curtain products to stop enterprises from evasion of quota.

Exports of chemical curtain products are restricted by quota system under Sino-US agreement.

According to American Customs, last year, clearance rate of chemical curtain products was only 3.8 percent.

One senator pointed out that local manufacturers import huge amount of curtain fabric from Taiwan and re-exports it to US.

Although products are manufactured in the country, these products are exported to US with tag 'Made-in-Taiwan'.
