According to statistics, bilateral trade between China and Spain in 2004 amounted to US$7.223 billion, up by 37.5% on a year-on-year basis. In the first 5 months, the bilateral trade reached US$3.981 billion, increasing by 48.3%.
In 2004, investment of Spain in China were 63 million Euros, up by 132% compared with that in 2003. By now, about 200 Spanish enterprises have invested in China with total value of 430 million Euros. Now, Spain has been one of important trading and technology cooperation partners among EU members.
