Many experts believe that the proposed FTA between South Korea and the US is going to be beneficial.
Finance Ministers of the both the countries met Wednesday and decided to aggressively participate in the bringing ten-month FTA talks to a positive conclusion.
Two-way trade with the US in 2006 earned around $74 billion and this deal is expected to raise the figure almost 20 percent.
However, several labor, farm and social groups are opposing this deal and prepare to demonstrate peaceful protest.
