Kaduna State Governor, Arc. Namadi Sambo, took aggressive steps and has successfully set up a special committee to revive textile and cotton industries in the state
National Union of Textile, Garment and Tailoring Workers of Nigeria (T & G) has applauded the efforts and the Deputy General Secretary, Alhaji Umaru Mohammed, said “The approach has the potential not only for development of the state but also for creating job opportunities for the teeming unemployed youths in the country."
He said that this was probably the most systematic and productive way to bring about reforms in the state.
T & G also praised Sambo's predecessor, Senator Ahmed Makarfi, especially for re-engaging thousands of civil servants who lost their jobs during the military administration of Col Hameed Ali.
