Textile commerce delegation from Spain recently visited China and had a meeting with the Chairman of China Textile Industry Association. Both sides talked about the prevailing situation of national textile industry and negotiated about cooperation between two countries' textile industries.
The Spanish delegation included members from the Government, the Chairman of Barcelona Clothing Association, experts of quality inspection in textiles, designers, members of clothing university and other professionals in related industries.
The Spanish delegates expressed that since China has strong production ability and Spain has advanced design ideas and technology, with the combination of these two, various cooperation in textile trade, product designs and research, enterprises management, science communion and other aspects can be carried out.
The Chairman of China Textile Industry Association said that the country's textile industry can look up to collaborate with overseas organizations in order to make up for the insufficiency of product development, design and in the management of textile enterprises and they would greatly support the trade and cooperation between Spain and China in textile industry.
According to statistics, in 2006, China exported textile products worth 2.524 billion euros to Spain, up 17.97 percent compared to 2005.
