Doha Round of world trade talks are expected to be concluded by the end of this year, if sensitive issues of developing nations are taken into consideration.
Government believes that the talks have reached an advanced stage after continuous discussions in the past two months. After taking India's concern in the forefront, administrative authorities in US are also keen on having the round sealed.
On the other hand, India also showed concerns about the issues on reducing subsidies on agricultural exports. Even the Finance Minister P Chidambaram expressed apprehensions over non-tariff barriers between developed nations.
During the meet, US Treasure Secretary, Henry Paulson on its part urged India to admit access to more markets for industrial goods.
The Doha round of talks is crucial for both India and US since both the countries can forge a common ideology for achieving mutual benefits.
