TN Govt announces 10% rebate on cotton & silk textiles

The State Government of Tamil Nadu has announces a special 10 percent rebate on cotton and silk textiles produced by weavers co-operative societies.
The offer effective till January 31, 2006, was announced as aprt of the 97th birth anniversary celebrations of former Tamil Nadu chief minister C N Annadurai, says an official release.
This measure it is hoped, apart from extending gainful employment, is in addition to the current 20 percent rebate, will boost the sales of handloom cotton and silk textiles.
