At a programme recently organised by the Federation of Nepalese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), the Finance Minister of Nepal Mr Bhattarai has given assurances to the private sector regarding their investments in the country.
He said the government was willing to give a guarantee for as many years as requested by the investor against nationalization, if it was the main cause of worry and was coming in the way of increased investments from the private sector.
He said that there was no intention of the government to nationalize any companies. He also added by saying that the government was willing to hand over the now defunct Hetauda Textile Mill and Agriculture Materials Factory if any body was interested in operating the same.
