Cotton reserves auctions touch 22% of release plan

China released 13,576 tons of cotton reserves on August 20. Weighted transaction price was 17,502 Yuan / ton, 857 Yuan higher than the previous day. The price when converted in to grade 328, stood at 17,885 Yuan / ton (net weight), 925 Yuan higher than the previous day.

As of August 20, cumulatively released cotton reserves reached 131,837 tons, and total transactions touched 130,837 tons, accounting for 22 percent of the total release plan. The weighted average price was 17,863 Yuan / ton, which when converted in to grade 328, stood at 18,115 Yuan / ton (net weight).
