There have been reports of discontent of trader's groups over seizure of their textile products. Members of the task force constituted by the government to check invasion of inferior quality textiles in Ghana carried out these raids.

Trader lamenting on the raid said, thousands of pieces of inferior textile costing hundreds of thousands of Cedis, were seized, however they were not aware of the identity of these personnel.

According to the traders, these personnel just rushed into the stores and seized the fabrics. They added by saying that they had no knowledge regarding constitution of any such task force.

However, there are mixed reactions coming from the textile traders, as on one hand traders who sell the imported textiles said that, as compared to the domestically produced ones, the imported textiles have a better market, due to their low-cost.
