Nigeria will bank on Vietnam to revive its defunct textile industry, All Progressives Congress (APC) national chairman Adams Oshiomhole recently told a visiting Vietnamese delegation, which met top APC representatives in Abuja. APC is the ruling political party in Nigeria. The delegation was led by Nguyen Hai Ninh, deputy chief of the Communist Party of Vietnam central committee.
Hai Ninh said Vietnam wants to establish official relationship between the APC-led government and the Communist Party of Vietnam, according to Nigerian media reports. He also solicited Nigeria’s assistance in settling the crisis between Vietnam and China over the disputed South China sea, urging Nigeria to insist that the dispute be settled according to the established United Nations laws.
