Turkish Economic Confidence Index rises to 98.8 in December

The Turkish Economic Confidence Index (ECI), reached 98.8 in December, witnessing an increase of 1.8 per cent compared to 97.1 in November. The country’s Consumer Confidence Index rose 1.9 per cent to reach 81.3, as per the Turkish Statistical Institute.

The Real Sector Confidence Index (manufacturing industry) decreased by 0.7 per cent in December to 102.7, and the Services Confidence Index increased by 2.4 per cent to reach 113.6 in December compared to November.

The Retail Trade Confidence Index increased by 1.2 per cent to 113.0 and Construction Confidence Index increased by 1.9 per cent to 89.4 in December compared to the previous month, said the Turkish Statistical Institute in a press release.
