Turkiye's CPI climbs in March; clothing prices drop

Turkiye’s Consumer Price Index (CPI) increased by 38.10 per cent in March 2025 compared with the same month of the previous year, according to the latest data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat).

The change in the general index was 2.46 per cent compared with the previous month, 10.06 per cent compared with December of the previous year, 38.10 per cent compared with the same month of the previous year, and 51.26 per cent based on the twelve-month moving averages, as reported by TurkStat.

The annual rate of change in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for clothing and footwear was recorded at 14.81 per cent. The monthly rate of change in the CPI for clothing and footwear stood at -2.48 per cent, showing a decrease in March 2025 compared with February 2025.
