The CPI-U increased by 7.1 per cent over the last 12 months to an index level of 297.711 (1982-84=100). For November, the index decreased by 0.1 per cent prior to seasonal adjustment.
The energy index fell by 1.6 per cent in November after rising by 1.8 per cent in October and increased by 13.1 per cent for the 12 months ending November.
The index for all items less food and energy rose by 0.2 per cent in November after rising by 0.3 per cent in October.
The all items index increased by 7.1 per cent for the 12 months ending November—the smallest 12-month increase since the period ending December 2021.
The all items less food and energy index rose by 6 per cent over the last 12 months.
