Sodium hydrosulphite, whether produced using zinc or sodium formate, is also known as hydrosulphite concentrate or sodium dithionite or sodium hydrosulfite or SHS. It is a white or grayish white powder, free from visible foreign particles with pungent odour.
It is classified under Chapter 28 of the Customs Tariff Act, 1975, under the custom code 28311010 and 28321020.
The period of investigation is 12 months from April 1, 2019 to March 31, 2020. The injury period of investigation will, however, cover the periods 2016-17, 2017-18, 2018-19 and 2019-20.
