China's PX imports totaled 402,440 tons in May; an increase of 7.31 percent compared with the previous month, according to customs statistics.
China's accumulated imports of PX reached 1.896 million tons from January to May.
The average import price was US $1621.33 per ton in May and for the first five months of 2011, the average price stood at US $1578.36 per ton.
