According to the statistics of 123 member units under Cotton Storage Branch of China Cotton Association, as of the end of July 2011, total inventory of commercial cotton was 693,000 tons.
This represents a reduction of 90,000 tons from the previous month, but an increase of 297,000 tons from the same time last year.
Of this, inland cotton stood at 530,000 tons, and Xinjiang cotton marked 163,000 tons,
