Asian paraxylene (PX) market price rose $ 21 / ton on August 25 to close at US $1,656 / ton (FOB Korea) and $1,676 / ton (CFR Taiwan / China), the highest increase in a single day in the last four and half months.
PX bids for September and October shipment rose from US $1,650 / ton to US $1,665 / ton (CFR).
It was reported that one PX bid for shipment in the second half of September was made at US $1,655 / ton (FOB Korea).
