Asian paraxylene (PX) prices rose slightly by US $10 / ton to close at US $1,658 / ton (CFR Taiwan / China) and US $1,638 / ton (FOB Korea) on September 28.
PX market price for shipment in late October increased by US $30 / ton to US $1,660 / ton. It was reported that not a single deal was done.
Market price for November shipment also increased to US $1,650 / ton, but no offers appeared. The price for shipment in the first half of October increased from $1,620 to $1,635 / ton. However, experts suspect speculation, as it is impossible to purchase supply for shipment in early October at present.
