Pure benzene market looked hard to change its weakening trend on Wednesday, while transactions were limited.

Market transactions ranged between 7,550-7,550 Yuan / ton in East China, 7,500-7,600 Yuan / ton in South China and focused on 7,500-7,550 Yuan / ton in North China.

Market players were still interested in replenishment, but it was difficult to find large offers, market supply was moderate, imports were relatively slow.

Speculation atmosphere was light and it looks like it will be difficult for the market to rebound. But industry believes that the markets will turnaround sooner than later.

Meanwhile, Northwest branch of China National Petroleum has officially lowered its benzene listing price by 150 Yuan / ton.

Dushanzi and Urumqi Petrochemical sell their pure benzene in East China at a ex-factory price of 6,450 Yuan / ton while, Lanzhou Petrochemical sells its pure benzene at 6,800 Yuan / ton (ex-factory).
