Chinese benzene market enters stalemate

Buyers with large orders sought lower prices in the benzene market on Wednesday, due to which negotiations between buyers and sellers entered stalemate.

In East China market, benzene prices ranged between 7,600-7,650 Yuan / ton, stood around 7,500-7,500 Yuan / ton in South China and were quoted at 7,550-7,600 Yuan / ton in North China.

The weak trend of benzene market is expected to exist for some time, so speculative risks remain and prices are expected to show a slight decline in the short term.

The North China branch and Qinzhou refinery of Sinopec listed its benzene price at 7,500 Yuan / ton.
