China's PTA imports (tariff No 29173611) registered 395,800 tons in October 2011, down 118,500 tons or 23 percent from its previous month.
However it rose by 9,900 tons or 2.56 percent from the same month in 2010, according to customs statistics.
The average October PTA import price stood at US $1,271 / ton, down 1.26 percent compared with September, but increased 36.82 percent year on year.
