Chinese cotton linter prices up, VSF dips

In the previous week, Chinese cotton linter prices ascended and stood around RMB 3600/ton to RMB 4000/ton. Market fundamentals remained quite stable and trading offers were in between RMB 3600/ton to RMB 4050/ton. Market opened with firm sentiment and price increased up to RMB 3700/ton to RMB 3800/ton.

Price of dissolving pulp remained firm in the range of RMB 8250/ton to RMB 8500/ton in Chinese domestic market. Price of imported dissolving wood pulp was in the range of US$ 1050/ton to US$ 1250/ton. Pulp imported from U.S.A, Canada and Sweden was below US$ 1100/ton. Counter offers were around US$ 1050/ton, but very few deals concluded at lower level.

Price of VSF declined and producers firmly held their offers at around RMB 15600/ton. Earlier price opened at RMB 16000/ton. But, due to bearish trend, price touched the level of RMB 15500/ton. In Chinese export market, selling offers for VSF fell in the range of US$ 2.35/kg to US$ 2.45/kg on (FOB CMP) base, but improved to US$ 2.55/kg at the weekend.
