China's domestic price of polyester staple fiber continued to drop in November and overall trade in the market was light. The market fell from 12,050 Yuan / ton at the beginning of November to below 11,000 Yuan / ton in mid-November.
Although manufacturers prevented the price from declining by limiting production at the end of the month, the market still underwent a weak adjustment, due to falling prices of downstream yarn.
The current PSF market has consolidated around 10,650 Yuan / ton. The fiber market price dropped more than 1,700 Yuan / ton in November, when compared with previous month.
Market analysts believe that it would be difficult for PSF market to reverse trends in the short-term, as PSF production enterprises are still under high stock pressures.
